Game 6 = Oiler Domination!
From the goaltender to the defence to the forwards, this Edmonton Oilers team dominated game 6 from beginning to end. You have to wonder about this being a team of destiny. Heart, determination and a blue collar working attitude has so far secured them an 8th and final playoff spot, a first round upset over the best team in the NHL regular season, a second round comeback versus the Sharks after being two games down from the outset, battling flu in the Western Conference Finals and then onto the Stanley Cup Finals. Lost their starting Goalie in game one and then lost the game. Shut out in game two. Squeked out a win in game 3. Lose a close game 4. Win a 'barn-burner' short handed in OT in game 5 and continue with that momentum into tonights game by outplaying the 'canes in every aspect of the game. This sets up one heck of a matchup for game 7 and the Oilers are seemingly turning the tables on their opponents. Time to bring Lord Stanley's mug back home where it belongs. It's been too long. Go Oilers Go!

Still Alive...
A hard fought 2-1 win last night kept the Oilers alive in the Stanley Cup Finals. Our best players played liked our best players and were the difference in the game. The Juice proved he could take over where Roli left off and had an outstanding game, giving his team every chance to win. Smyth capitalized late in the third with one of his prototypical goals while crashing the net. Hemsky had a pair of assists and made the Canes nervous every time he touched the puck. An assist also goes to the fans who were at Rexall who nearly blew the roof off the building with the noise they generated. Bring on game 4!
